Cookie Consent Banner
Your website uses cookies to collect information about user activity (e.g., the number of visitors, what pages they look at, how they came to your website). This information, often collected via an analytics tool like Google Analytics, can help you improve your website to better serve your users. However, cookies may represent a privacy issue depending on where you and your users are located.
Some locations (e.g., the European Union, the United Kingdom) have strict rules about user privacy and require you to get clear consent before collecting user information via cookies. In other locations (e.g., most of the U.S. and Canada), you can simply let users know that your website uses cookies to collect information.
A cookie consent banner communicates your cookie policy to users and gives them the appropriate options for their consent. We offer three types of cookie consent banners to accommodate different privacy situations:
- Implied consent: Visitors are notified that cookies are used on your website. If they continue using your website, then they agree to their information being collected via cookies. This is usually fine for most U.S. and Canadian organizations.
- Explicit opt-in: Visitors must click "Accept" before any cookies are set (except those needed for the site to work). This is required in the European Union and United Kingdom.
- Opt-out: Cookies are automatically set on the website but visitors must be given a way to say opt out of their information being collected. This is required in places like California for certain types of data sharing.
